The Dash 

We set off last night after having 15 of our closest friends over to our house for a potluck. We had everything packed and saw no reason not to leave after our guests departed, so we drove past Coeur dAlene to Rose Lake.We pulled in at 10 PM and went directly to bed, not realizing how much of a slant to the right the RV was tipped. Midway through the night I heard a huge thump and sprang up to find that Gary had rolled off the bed! I am sure it wasn’t my fault as I was on the uphill side, continuing to edge closer to Gary as it got colder. He is fine, no big bruises. The dogs woke us up at 5 so we decided to go ahead and take off.  Judith was right when she told us wrap up the extra rhubarb pie and have it with a cup of coffee later in the morning!

    Teena and Gary have a glorious time. I can't wait to hear of the wonderful adventures you will have. Prayers for traveling safety.

All the time we were on the East Coast, we were talking to our neighbors at campgrounds. One gentleman, who was 87 and still avidly camping, told us his story of downsizing to a smaller RV. A bounty of books and wine

How many people set their travel plans by how much booze they have to drink before crossing into Canada? We now need to stay another day in the UP (Upper Peninsula), because our new found friend gifted us a bottle of Chateau Grand Traverse Pinot Noir Rose.  We had not thought about how much booze we could bring across the border until my cousin Lisa mentioned it, so earlier last week we jettisoned a half gallon of Jameson’s whiskey, leaving it for Gary and Lisa to enjoy. We figured, with the days we are spending as "Yoopers" in the UP, we would be fine crossing the border into Canada in the next few days, drinking each evening to get the required alcohol amounts adjusted.  Then we meet Rhonda.
